A Design Sprint for Entertainment
The Team's Solution: Plugd

On any given night in the typical modern city, there’s a lot going on. But with so many pop-up venues and such a diffuse media world, it’s hard to know what’s happening and what’s worth doing. Plugd was developed to fix that by providing curated entertainment suggestions customized to your tastes. To know what’s up, get Plugd in.

Who has time to stay up-to- date on everything that’s happening? How are you supposed to know that a pop-up ThaiMex fusion restaurant is slinging Pad Tacos around the corner, or that the sketch group you’ve been bingeing on YouTube is performing downtown? Who doesn’t need a nightlife concierge?

Plugd is built on three core principles. It’s curated, which means that someone in the know knows what you want to know. The app pays attention to what’s hot, hip, and happening so you don’t have to. Second, it’s personalized, so it gets to know what you actually like, what you want to do, what you like to see, and it learns over time which suggestions make sense for your taste profile. Finally, Plugd is focused, delivering six options (plus one mystery option for all the daredevils out there) so you’re not scrolling through endless listings.

Plugd lets you simplify your nightlife decision making by providing great recommendations for things you’ll actually want to go to.
